The new comedy-horror film The Restoration At Grayson Manor, co-written by Glen McQuaid and Clay McLeod Chapman and produced by Fantastic Films, recently celebrated its UK and Ireland premiere across screenings held over the past few weekends.
Matthew, who plays the character John in the film, attended the premiere and was delighted to celebrate the occasion close to home. For Matthew, the event marked a special moment to see the project shared with audiences and to celebrate alongside cast, crew, and supporters.
The film stars Chris Colfer as a wealthy and hedonistic heir whose life takes a dark turn after a freak accident results in the loss of his hands. Determined to restore her son to his former glory, his formidable and domineering mother—played by Alice Krige—turns to radical and experimental new technology in a desperate attempt to help him.

Blending dark humour with horror, The Restoration At Grayson Manor explores the unsettling consequences of ambition, privilege, and the lengths a parent will go to in order to “fix” their child’s fate.
For Matthew, being part of the film and attending its premiere was a proud moment, particularly as the celebration took place in his own backyard. The screening offered a chance to reconnect with collaborators and to see the film finally reach audiences in the UK and Ireland.
The Restoration At Grayson Manor continues its festival and screening journey, bringing its unique mix of comedy and horror to viewers eager for something delightfully strange. 🎬
